Background

This a a universal uninterruptible world power adapter for military transceivers built by American Business Power (TR1).
The listed radios are: AN/PSC-5, AN/PSC-5D, MBMMR, AN/PRC-117F, AN/PRC-150, AN/PSC-14 BGAN, PRC-138, PRC-113, URC-200, MXF-400 series, RF-5000 series transceivers.  All of these use the same battery box and have the plugs for a pair of BA-5590 family batteries in the same place.  So this power unit just replaces that stock battery box and adds AC & DC inputs as well as it's internal battery which is a 24V 2AH or two of these, i.e. about the same a one or two BB-490 lead acid batteries.

Description

Input Power Options

The AC/DC/BT part of the model number refers to the three possible power sources.
AC Input 85-270VAC, 47-440 Hz   (US, Europe, aircraft)
DC Input: 9-36VDC, 20A max  (12V or 24 V vehicles)
Internal Battery (1 or 2 each): 24V 2 AH each battery, (with second battery 24V 4AAH (96 WH total).
There is an option for a reversible Data/Accessory connector that I do not have.
It would work with either the PSC-5 or PRC-117/PRC-138 or other radios with a compatible rear panel Data/Accessory connector.

The MA-1 is an optional shock/vibration mount.

Connectors

The stock adapter has three external connectors and a single battery type socket (no need for dual battery sockets since one can deliver the max current).  But they are using the primary type socket rather than the multi cycle type that's used on rechargeable 9secondary) batteries in the BB-2590 family.

Internal Battery socket

This feeds DC power to the radio.

Primary (Ba-5590) &
Secondary (BB-590) Sockets The BA-5590 (and all primary) batteries is connected to the radio one time.
The primary socket is plastic and has base metal contacts.

The BB-5590 (and all BB- rechargeable) batteries
are connected between the radio and charger many times.
The secondary socket is metal and the contacts are gold plated.

AC Input

The cable connector to mate withthe AC input is the MS 3116F12-3S.
