Background
These are typically part of an AT&T U-Verse system and allow the telephone to work when there's a local power failure.

Description
This is a 12 Volt 7.2 Amp Hour Gel Cell battery in a case that includes a charger with float capability and also has system monitoring functions including a warning alarm. It amounts to an uninterruptible 12 Volt power supply.
Supposed to supply enough power to support one phone and U-Verse telephone only service for 4 hours of power failure.
Battery
The BC7-12 by B.B. Battery has a listed size of 151mm (5.94") x 65mm (2.56") x 94mm (3.94") The measurements (Fig 5 below) are slightly smaller.
The Power Sonic PS-1270-F2 (data sheet) might be a good replacement. Note they supply discharge curves for various conditions.

Note done shortly while first charging so probably not valid.
After charging overnight both units passed the battery test.
Self test runs automatically every 21 days. To force test:
Cycle speaker switch a couple of times. "Testing Battery" green LED blinks for about 5 minutes during test.
