Military Collectors Group Post, Oct.15/97 Index: WHATSIT? TBY ANTENNA! OLGA HELP! BEN NOCK; BARGER'S BOOK; MEMBER PROFILE; Lee CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY? anybody got more info? CAF HOME PAGES; HUMOR; slim pickins! ********************************************************* WHATSIT? TBY ANTENNA! I have some antenna sections as follows: Each is about a foot long. One is marked "CWN-66087-S, 10 sections". This one has a spring in it, about 3" long. Another is marked "CWN-66025, 10 sections". No spring, just a tube. I have five more sections, each is just a tube about a foot long. They are each colored on the ends, so that you can tell which section they plug into. I have a total of 7 sections, two of which appear to be bottoms. Anyone need them? I'll be adding them to my "wanted/for trade" list. Pete mccollum@ssdevo.ENET.dec.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pete, What you have is the antenna set for the Navy TBY, & yes there are at least two members that need them. They are pretty hard to come by. Also it sounds like you have some extra sections(you refured to sections & antenna as the same thing), there is at least one member that needs one of the sections to complete his antenna. The 66025 is used on the earliar examples of the TBY, but it wouldn't bother me a bit to use the 66087(the one with the spring) on any of them or vice versa. Great fined, keep up the good work. Dennis ********************************************************* OLGA HELP! Dennis, Please ask the membership if any one can supply a copy of the article "The Story Of Olga" by Erling Langemyr which appeared in issue 13 Page 22 of Radio Bygones and the two subsequent letters in issue No 14 page 29 and issue 15 page 30. I will pay for copies if they are available. William L. Howard 219 Harborview Lane Largo, Florida 33770 THE WILLIAM L. HOWARD ORDNANCE TECHNICAL INTELLIGENCE MUSEUM e-mail wlhoward@gte.net Telephone AC 813 585-7756 ed) OLGA is reported to be a Norwegian set built during the German accupation & used for clandestine activities. It is said to have been built in Norway from parts smuggled into the country by England, & loosely designed after the Polish sets. If anyone has any further information, please contact us. ******************************************************** BEN NOCK; Mr Nock was a member of this group some months ago, he was granted access after he agreed to our terms, but it was found at a latter date that his motives were less than acceptable, thus he was removed. Several of our members were cautioned at that time in regard to their on-going correspondence & negotiations with him. But they failed to heed these warnings. They are now woefully regretting this failure! I know if I give you all these same cautions now, they too will go un-heeded as everybody needs to learn these things on their own. So, I'll say to you all these two things. #1, everyone that has ever had contact with this man has been left with a very nasty lingering taste in their mouths. #2, If you are now carrying on any correspondence or negotiations with him, use EXTREME caution as you proceed! He is not what he professes to be! Dennis **************************************************************** BARGER'S BOOK; DENNIS, WAS ASKED BY SOMEONE ABOUT THESE BOOKS SO I TOLD HIM.
