Theoretically these are "actual lines" out of OERs (Officer Efficiency Report) - performance appraisals for the military: - Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. - Got into the gene pool while the lifeguard wasn't watching. - A room-temperature IQ. - Got a full six-pack, but lacks the plastic thingy to hold it all together. - A gross ignoramus -- 144 times worse than an ordinary ignoramus. - A photographic memory but with the lens cover glued on. - A prime candidate for natural deselection. - Bright as Alaska in December. - One-celled organisms outscore him in IQ tests. - Donated his body to science before he was done using it. - Fell out of the family tree. - Gates are down, the lights are flashing, but the train isn't coming. - Has two brains: one is lost and the other is out looking for it. - He's so dense, light bends around him. - If brains were taxed, he'd get a rebate. - If he were any more stupid, he'd have to be watered twice a week. - If you give him a penny for his thoughts, you'd get change. - If you stand close enough to him, you hear the ocean. - It's hard to believe that he beat out one million other sperm. - One neuron short of a synapse. - Some drink from the fountain of knowledge; he only gargled. - Takes him one and 1/2 hours to watch 60 Minutes. - Was left on the Tilt-A-Whirl a bit too long as a baby. - Wheel is turning, but the hamster is dead. Quotes taken from actual performance evaluations: - Since my last report, he has reached rock bottom and has started to dig. - His men would follow him anywhere, but only out of morbid curiosity. - I would not allow this associate to breed. - This associate is really not so much of a has-been, but more of a definitely won't be. - Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap. - When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whatever foot was previously in there. - He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle. - This young lady has delusions of adequacy. - She sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them. - This associate should go far - and the sooner he starts, the better. - This associate is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot. *************************************************************** Dave W0NBZ w0nbz@juno.com Burnsville (near Minneapolis) Minnesota Bumper Sticker List: - ABOLISH BUMPERSTICKERS - According to my calculations the problem doesn't exist - A day without sunshine is like, you know, night. - All generalizations are false. - Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else. - Atheism is a non-prophet organization. - Auntie Em: Hate you, Hate Kansas, Taking the dog. -Dorothy. - Bad Cop! I have one that is operational but has a badly damaged case that is not repairable. Thanks to Dennis and the group. I'm looking for any manuals or other info on a generator set labeled AN/MJQ 32. My old outfit has several that they are trying to make operational. I believe the military # is for the entire assembly which I think was a microwave set in a shelter and associated parts. The generator consists of 2 3K generators mounted transversely on a small trailer (slightly larger than a jeep trailer) and each powered by a small 2 cyl. diesel engine. They power units are mounted on opposite ends of the trailer with storage of some type of mast in the center. Any information would be appreciated. So far, nobody in the unit has been able to find any manuals or anyone familiar with them. Thanks. Ken Sakamoto kenscom@juno.com Ken S.
