Description
This is a small Printed Circuit Board with the male and female snaps
that mate with either one of the Squad Radio
Batteries or the Squad Radio itself.
Remember that the polarity depends on how you use it.
-
The Positive (Red) wire goes to the Male snap when you use it for powering
a radio through the battery snaps, like for some bench testing where the
AUDIO connector is not appropriate.
Note: You could attach a couple of 9 Volt battery snaps in series
and use them to power your PRC-68 family radio. This option does
not offer much talk time but is a low cost option. You could also
attach a single 9 Volt snap and use that to connect to a 10 AA battery
holder.
-
The Positive (Red) wire goes to the Female snap when you use it for charging
a battery.
-
There is a 1/8" ID hole so that the wires will have some strain relief.
-
The Female snap has a safety insulating sleeve so that a cross connection
can not be made.
