Background
This test set is for relays. It
mainly tests the coil of the relay and so might also be useful for
testing other electromagnetic coils.
Description
The test set requires an external
battery which is connected by means of a three conductor cable
terminated with a 1/4" stereo phone plug that mates with the "BG"
soclet in the lower left of the front panel.

Plug for BG can be PL-51, WE No. 110 or No. 310.
BG stands for Battery-Ground
a PP-3940/G Power Supply set to 10 Volts can be used on the BAT &
GND inputs for testing the TS-1775.
the external BAT supply depends on the operation voltage of the relay
under test.

FINE 2: extreme CW
both OPERATE switches to 0
Meter range: 150 ma (to start)
Strap binding posts T & R (where the relay coil connects for most
tests) and use BAT and GRD for the meter connection.
2-2 switch: toggle either up or down to read meter.
